Open House at Lower and Upper Campuses

Mark your calendars for Open House on Monday, August 18 from 4 to 6 at both campuses. Please drop-in and bring school supplies, set up cafeteria accounts, join the PTO, see after school activities, purchase school uniform clothing, look around the school, visit classrooms and meet your child's teacher.

Meal Prices for 2014-15 School Year

Effective July 1, 2014, in accordance to the interim rule entitled, "National School Lunch Program: School Food Service Account Revenue Amendments Related to the Healthy, Hungry-Free Kids Act of 2010" requires school food authorities participating in the National School Lunch Program to provide the same level of support for lunches served to students who are not eligible for free or reduced priced lunches (i.e., paid lunches) as they are for lunches served to students eligible for free lunches.

Based on this provision, all school districts will have to evaluate their current paid lunch prices and adjust prices as outlined in the provision.

In compliance with this new provision, Richland School District Two has confirmed the following price increases for the 2014 - 2015 school year:

Paid Lunch (Elementary) - $2.50 (increase of 10 cents from previous year)

Paid Lunch (Secondary) - $2.65 (increase of 5 cents from previous year)

Currently, all other meal prices will remain the same for next school year. Additional information governing this regulation can be found on the USDA website at www.usda.gov.

Kindergarten registration

Don't forget to register your upcoming kindergarten student for 2014-15! Students that will be at least 5 years old on or before September 1, 2014 should register. Information on enrollment requirements are available at the district web site. Please complete forms online. Paper registration forms are available in the front office.
