Lower Campus Closed This Week

LCE Lower Campus is closed this week in honor of Independence Day. We will reopen with regular summer hours on Monday, July 6th.

Upper Campus Computer Class

St. Baldrick's Foundation Update


Thank you for supporting our last service learning project of the 2014-15 school year to St. Baldrick's Foundation. The student art auction raised $500.00 for Lake Carolina Elementary to donate to this charity that funds childhood cancer research. 

Special thanks to our art teachers, Mr. Lane and Ms. Williams, for their assistance!

5th Grade Butterfly Release

The 5th Grade Class of Lake Carolina Upper Campus released butterflies to celebrate their achievements and their promotion to middle school today.

Lower Campus Exercise Counts

Congratulations to Kyle, Sydney, Austin, Bennett, McKenzie, Caiden and Zachary. They recorded over 30,000 minutes of exercise over the course of the school year to earn the Exercise Counts t-shirts at the Lower Campus. Way to move Gators!

Summer Reading

Read, read, read this summer! Join the Richland County Public Library Summer Learning Challenge for a special event this September at Lake Carolina Elementary. It's easy...

1.  Complete the Summer Learning Challenge program with RCPL.
2.  Turn in your medal from RCPL and summer reading log during the first 2 weeks of school next fall.

3.  Your medal and log earn you time in the game truck in September at LCE.

Sign up at any RCPL branch. 

The Blythewood branch has a kick-off event on June 13th from 2:30-4:30 with a puppet show at 3pm and book trade (maximum of 5 gently used books).

Upper Campus 500 Club

Reading Counts 500 Club Recognition

Congratulations to the 28 students who had 500 or more Reading Counts points! All students were recognized on the school's morning show and enjoyed lunch from Olive Garden.

The top 5 students in each grade level received a medal and Ysa Carrell received a trophy for the highest points overall for the school with 1570.

Compass Learning and Tal Thompson

Mr. Tal Thompson, a fourth grade teacher at LCEU, was awarded 30 Chromebooks and Compass Learning software for the school today by Mr. Howard Monteith, Account Executive for Compass Learning. This was the prize package that Mr. Thompson was given as one of the four finalist from the Top Teacher Search on the Live with Kelly and Michael show. Many thanks to Compass Learning!
