Toys for Prisma Children's Hospital

Reminder that the toy drive at LCE Upper Campus for Prisma Children’s Hospital ends on Monday, May 2. Toys must be new and in their original packaging. The donation box is located in the front office at Upper Campus.  All toys collected will be going directly to the Children’s Hospital.  Please see below for more details and bring donations by May 2.  Thank you!

Blythewood Middle - School Pathways to Success

Blythewood Middle School is having its annual BMS Pathways to Success on Tuesday, April 26th, 6:00 p.m., beginning in the school gym. This program will be focusing on making a successful transition for those students and their parents who will be attending Blythewood Middle this Fall.  You will learn about summer opportunities like the BMS JumpStart Camp, BMS Charger Pride Summer Enrichment and afterschool program; receive information about summer reading activity, the 6th grade supply list, and information about enrichment offerings.  Additionally, you will find out what Charger Kick-Off is all about and how you can receive information and keep in touch.  The evening provides an opportunity to visit the 6th grade area classrooms and meet the teachers. Our goal is to provide tools for a smooth transition from elementary school to middle school.  

We are looking forward to meeting and working with you soon!

LCEU Celebrates Women's History Month

Upper Campus classes celebrated Women's History Month and higher education by following the NCAA Women's March Madness tournament. Each class was assigned two schools to research, follow, and cheer for during the month of March. This weekend the tournament will conclude, and we will honor the winner on the morning show next Monday. Who will it be? Mr. Lally's University of South Carolina Gamecocks? Mrs. Sadler's University of Louisville Cardinals? Mrs. Koen's Stanford Trees? Or Mrs. Weaver's University of Connecticut Huskies? 

You can follow the final games of the tournament with your student this weekend! Best of luck to all of the women athletes and fans!
