Friendly Reminder

There has been a large increase in the number of items being dropped off during the school day recently.

We strive to have our students live by the 7 Habits of Happy Kids with Habit #1 that teaches being Proactive and being in charge of ourselves. Lunch boxes, student binders, after school activity items, hats/jackets, etc. are being forgotten. Please help us by reminding your children to be prepared to come to school each day. Calling into classrooms is an interruption of valuable instructional time.

Thank you for your assistance!

Information from the School Nurse

Acetaminophen: It’s in more medicines than you might think.

Acetaminophen, commonly called Tylenol, is in more than 600 over-the-counter and prescription medications. Some medications containing acetaminophen include pain relievers, fever reducers, cough, cold, allergy, and sleep medications.

When acetaminophen is taken as directed on the medication label, it’s safe and effective. But did you know there is a limit to the amount of acetaminophen that is safe to take per day?? Taking more acetaminophen than directed is an overdose and can lead to liver damage.

Three Steps to Take Acetaminophen Safely:
1.      Always read and follow the directions prior to taking any medication

2.      Read the label to see if the medication contains acetaminophen- look for the “Active Ingredients” section of the Drug Facts label for the word “Acetaminophen”.

3.      NEVER take two medicines that contain Acetaminophen at the same time. Taking too much acetaminophen can lead to liver damage.
