P-EBT Benefits

P-EBT is a benefit to help supplement family food costs for eligible students. There may be a possibility that P-EBT benefits MAY be offered over the summer. The SCDE/DSS has submitted a request but it has not been approved by the USDA as of yet. If you are interested in this benefit, if it becomes available, and your family did not fill out a free/reduced lunch discount for the 2020/21 school year, please do so NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, 6/8/21.

To fill out the free/reduced lunch discount please go to https://www.richland2.org/

Then follow these steps:

  • Click on I’m a Richland 2:
  • Choose Student or Parent
  • Select Menus and Food Service
  • Choose Free and Reduced Meal Application
Please be sure that your home address in PowerSchool is correct.

While we are not certain that summer P-EBT benefits will be offered, we want everyone to be determined eligible if applicable. The decision whether or not P-EBT summer benefits are offered is NOT determined by the schools.

Dr. James Ann Lynch Character Award

Congratulations to Riley Teal Perry for being selected as the recipient of the
2020-21 Dr. James Ann Lynch Character Award!

Teal Perry was recognized on June 3 with Dr. Sheley and Mr. Williams on the school's morning show with this award.

The James Ann Lynch Character Award was developed in the summer of 2010 to recognize a fifth grade student that exhibits exceptional character.

Dr. Lynch, now Dr. Sheley, opened Lake Carolina Elementary in 2002 and served as principal for 8 years. During those years, the school committed to learning how the brain learns best and how to incorporate lifeskills into our daily lives. Because Dr. Sheley consistently modeled lifeskills during her tenure at LCE, this award celebrates a student who does the same.

Dr. Sheley is currently an Assistant Superintendent for Academics in Richland School District Two.
