Richland Two's Girls and Pearls
Richland Two hosted a Girls and Pearls conference for female students in grades 5 through 12 on Tuesday, November 22. Girls and Pearls is a new mentoring initiative where girls will learn how much they matter and connect with mentors who can help provide guidance in their lives. Women from various employment sectors of the community from city manager, judges, and principals, to church, business and law enforcement leaders were invited to participate in the event and impart "pearls of wisdom" to empower the girls.
LCEU's student representatives were: Taaj Rockman, Jada Davis, Hannah Apodaca, Emma Ethridge, Amatullah Ballard, Riley Dempsey, Jordan Shaver, Emma Holden, and Imani Smith.
Mrs. Skinner, LCEU school counselor, attended the event with girls and Mrs. Chandler-McCray, LCEU assistant principal, served on the event steering committee. Ms. Ashley Jenkins from Columbia City Council served as our school's assigned "WOW", Woman Of Wisdom, at the event.

Media Center Request for Lower Campus
Mrs. Faile is in need to new shelf markers for the media center. Students use paint sticks to mark their place on the bookshelves when looking for a good book. If you could donate any to the library that would be a huge help and greatly appreciated.
Boosterthon... It's a Wrap!
- We are still accepting outstanding pledges. We have about $2,500 left to collect.
- This year, we are returning more than 16% ($5,700) directly to our teachers to spend on their classrooms.
- With the funds, we will buy the second half of the leveled readers for the Lower Campus and an additional sun shade for the playground at Upper Campus. We continue to support the weekend backpack program at LCE, and we are looking at other school needs that the PTO can support.
Thank you for your incredible support!
