Important Food Allergy Information
Please try to avoid sending in snacks or treats that contain any nut ingredients. If you are a parent of a student that has a food allergy, you may want to consider keeping a small box of approved snacks in your child’s classroom. That way if a snack or treat contains an allergen, the teacher can give your student one of their own approved snacks. Through a cooperative effort we will be able to provide a safe learning environment for all of our students.
Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated!

Safety for Bikers and Scootering
LCEU families--
Please assist us with helping us make safety a priority. We have recently had an increase in injuries among our students who ride bikes and scooters to school. The injuries are happening on the sidewalks between upper and lower campus. We have taught students they are to ride their bikes/scooters at a slow speed and not ride side by side on the sidewalks. Students are racing one another and putting others at risk. In addition, our crossing guard at Bud Keefe Road has had to remind students to use the crosswalk and not cross road without their direction.
Thanks for working with us to keep safety a priority!

Message from LCE PTO
Please help us celebrate the Lake Carolina Elementary faculty and staff on their birthdays this year! LCE PTO acknowledges each staff member's birthday with a gift card, but many times parents or classes like to shower their teacher with a little extra love on their special day. Sometimes a sincere homemade card from a student will make a birthday even sweeter.
See the attached list of birthdays and mark your calendar now. Feel free to take the lead to organize something special for your child's teacher. Parents often like to contribute to a gift from the whole class. If your favorite teacher's birthday has already passed since the start of school, a belated surprise will certainly be appreciated. Thank you!
