The fifth grade students had their graduation ceremony for D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) this morning at Upper Campus with Sheriff Leon Lott of the Richland County Sheriff Department as the guest speaker. D.A.R.E. teaches students decision making for safe and healthy living. Special thanks to Senior Officer Pearl Whitaker for leading this program at our school and the Richland County Sheriff Department for their support.
Students were required to write an essay about what they learned during the 10 week D.A.R.E. program. The following essays were selected from each homeroom class. Overall winner for the school was Becca White.
