Information from School Nurse

Attention All Parents:
Medications are not kept in the health room over the summer. Please pick up all over-the-counter and prescription medications (inhalers, Epi-pens, other prescription medications) from the health room by Friday,  June 5th at 12 noon. Any medications left after 12 noon will be discarded.

Attention Parents of Rising Sixth Graders:
South Carolina Immunization laws require a Tdap vaccine for all students prior to entering the seventh grade. Please schedule an appointment with your child’s physician to obtain the required vaccine. Once your child has been vaccinated, bring a copy of the updated shot record to your child’s school nurse.

One (1) dose of Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) administered on or after the 7th birthday will be required for all seventh graders. It is strongly recommended that adolescents who have not yet received a dose of Tdap vaccine be immunized in advance of this requirement.

Volunteers at LCE are the best!

If you have VOLUNTEERED at LCE this year, this is for you…

If you have volunteered at LCE for 1 hour or 100 hours, we are so grateful for you! Our Lobby Guard systems track volunteer hours during the school day. However, we realize that many of you put in volunteer time outside of these parameters and we want you to be included. If you have chaperoned on field trips, assisted in clubs and organizations, did work for a teacher at home or served our school in any other way, please know we appreciate you and all you've done! Regardless of whether or not your name is on this list of volunteers, we want all volunteers to be thanked properly.

A special treat is coming your way… details next week!

Thank You from PTO

This quote by John Heywood says it all! LCE volunteers have logged more than 3000 volunteer hours this year! Those hours don't include all the field trips, tasks done at home, assisting with after school clubs, etc.  Whether you gave 1 hour or 100, we are grateful for the time you've invested in our school and our children.

Thank you for lending a hand in 2014-2015!
