Spring Break

School Board Meeting

Students from 4th grade presented Disability Sensitivity program that LCEU participated in this school year to the Richland Two School Board on March 24. They shared information on the program as well as how it has made all students more aware of disabilities.

Preschool students celebrating Spring!

Preschool students and parents celebrated Spring's arrival by participating in a hat parade and family picnic. Thanks to everyone for your creativity and coming to have lunch with your little gators! Hope everyone enjoys Spring Break!

Spring MAP Testing Dates


The Measures of Academic Progress, MAP, assessment will be given in grades 2 through 5 between April 6 and 17. 

Classroom teachers will notify parents of specific testing days and times. 

Please make sure your child is at school on scheduled testing days, has a good breakfast on days of testing as well as adequate rest the night prior to testing.

Talent Show Pictures

Congratulations to all of the students that participated in the shows this year. From hosts to photographers to singers and dancers, Lake Carolina students have so much talent!

Lost and Found

Wow, the lost and found is overflowing with clothing! Parents, be sure to check the lost and found area (outside of the cafeteria) before Thursday. All items left at the end of the day will be packed up and donated.

Early Dismissal Information

Thursday, March 26th is an early dismissal day for Teacher Collaboration. Students are dismissed at 11:30. Please note that parents must provide written consent for children to be released to emergency contacts.

Emergency Contacts are people other than Parents/Legal Guardians. Emergency Contacts will be contacted only if Parents/Legal Guardians are not immediately available. With a state or federally issued photo identification, these individuals can pick up your student in an emergency ONLY. Other situations will require a note from the parent/legal guardian.
