Recycling at LCE

Do you have empty toner or ink cartridges from your printer that need to be disposed of? Does your business have printer cartridges that are empty?

Send these items to either campus and we will help you recycle them. Each item recycled equals points or cash for the school! Just another way to support LCE as well as being responsible with recycling and reusing. See list of acceptable items.

Thank you for recycling and for your support of Lake Carolina Elementary!

RETHINK Contest for LCEL

LCEL students, its time to let your creativity shine bright like a firefly. This year's theme for the Midlands RETHINK Contest is to make a firefly. Students need to create a fun trash-art firefly or an object decorated with fireflies.

Projects are due Tuesday, November 1st. Please take them to Mrs. Woodley.

Students need to write how their project was made and what they learned about fireflies being negatively impacted by human activity.

Read Your Way To The Big Game

Have you turned in your reading log for Read Your Way to the Big Game??? Don't worry, the deadline has been extended, so students can turn in forms on Monday, October 31st if needed.

This is an easy challenge for LCE, because we know our students are reading! So, fill out the reading log (only 6 books) and return it to your child's teacher. Our school will be entered into the drawing for $2,000 for library books if we get at least 70% participation, so let's go Gators!

Lower Campus Veterans Day Celebration

Hello LCEL Families!
The time has come to begin planning for our Annual Veterans Day Celebration here at LCEL. We would love to invite Active Duty or Veteran personnel to join us Friday, November 11 to enjoy breakfast and participate in a parade. Breakfast will be available at 7:30 for the Active Duty or Veteran member as well as their LCEL student. We invite you to stay and walk in the parade with your student at 8:30. If your student has a deployed parent, please feel free to send a representative to enjoy breakfast and the parade as we want to make sure we honor them as well. Service members, we would love for you to please wear your uniform. Please follow the link below to RSVP to our event by November 1. If there is any trouble with the link, please email Christa Agee at cagee@richland2.org.

We look forward to this special day where we can honor you and your service!
